Mayor of Riga City Nils Usakovs presented to Race Director of Nordea Riga marathon Aigars Nords special award on our contribution of international promotion of Riga. The award was presented by the decision of jury within competition “Citizen of Riga 2011”.

Title of “Citizen of Riga 2011” was awarded to Director of Latvian National Opera Andrejs Žagars. Congratulations! After decision of jury special award on contribution of international promotion of Riga was also presented to famous documentary director Hercs Franks, head of organizing team of international film festival “Baltic Pearl” Marina Ļipčenko and to Latvian chef Martins Ritins.

We thank all the international participants for their participation and would like welcome everybody back next year! We will do our best to increase international participation for year 2012!
